At the Halloween Dance

Dances

PineTree hosts a major dance at least once a month throughout the year. Dances often have a theme or are related to a particular holiday or event. Our most popular dances are New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, the Presidential Ball on Labor Day weekend, and Halloween. Other smaller dances, generally called “Cheapie Dances” because of their low cost and lack of frills, are held sporadically. A Hawaiian-style Luau is held in August each year around the pool, complete with a roast pig.

Membership Social Hour

Throughout the summer season, the Membership Committee hosts a Social Hour on the deck of Keyes Hall at 5 pm every Saturday, including beer, wine, soft drinks, and munchies. This get-together is specifically designed to welcome visitors and give current members a chance to meet and greet them.

Club-Sponsored Picnics and Potlucks

Three summer weekends -- Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day -- feature picnics where the food is supplied, cooked, and served by the club. We also have Potlucks throughout the year – some scheduled and some spontaneous. The most popular potluck is our Thanksgiving Feast, held the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Children's Activities

There are a number of children’s activities on the schedule as well. Parties are held for the kids for Easter, Halloween and Christmas. The Halloween party includes trick-or-treating around the various trailers and cabins at the club; at Christmas, Santa shows up on a fire truck. There is usually some type of children’s activity scheduled for other holiday weekends – puppet shows, magic shows, pony rides to name a few.

...And More

PineTree's resourcefull members constantly come up with other events and activities that defy categorization. Take a look at the calendar of events for a full listing.
